Need
A Speaker?
Deborah Camp speaks to businesses, professional organizations, and industrial
groups on topics ranging from database marketing, time management and
entrepreneurism, to customer service, marketing trends, and small business
management.
As publisher and owner of Doing Business In Memphis since 1990 she
addresses a wide assortment of audiences from small workshop groups to State
Conferences. Earlier this year she was one of five session leaders who spoke
at a conference featuring internationally acclaimed speaker Les Brown.
Says Camp: "Speaking for the Small Business Empowerment Association with
someone like Les Brown as the keynote is as challenging as it gets. It was
a wonderful experience as a speaker, and one that's made me work harder
to improve my skills."
Nothing helps a speaker stay current and on-her-toes like a classroom of
graduate students. Deborah teaches graduate level marketing to students at
FedEx who are seeking their MBA degrees through Dowling College, and twice
a year she teaches entrepreneurial studies to grad students attending
Webster University.
For one year Deborah hosted a weekly hour-long radio show called the
"Small Business Roundtable," during which she interviewed prominent business
figures and answered questions from the radio audience. She has also been
interviewed on such national radio shows as Paul and Sarah Edward's
Los-Angeles-based talk show "Working From Home" and Mitch Schlemmler's
New York City morning show, "Let's Talk Business."
Additionally, Deborah has written articles and essays for numerous
publications including the Commercial Appeal, Memphis Business Journal,
Mix Magazine, Phoenix New Times, Tennessee Anthropologist,
First Tennessee Bank's Business Review, Memphis Woman Magazine and
Performance Magazine . Because of her love of animals and advocacy
of kindness and responsible pet ownership she also pens a monthly column
for The Lamplighter entitled "Neighborhood Pets".
Deborah can be booked for single engagements, full or half day sessions,
or as a keynote speaker or facilitator. Depending upon the size of the
group, the theme, and venue she can also supply custom workbooks
or other materials.
